ORINN

Travel brings back a different version of yourself.
This Western-style house was once the residence of Mr. Jiang Yuanxiu, a teacher at Beipu Elementary School. It was built by architect Peng Yuli, who also designed the Jiang A-Xin Western House.
The building features terrazzo walls with fine craftsmanship, giving it a clean yet warm presence. Its lines are graceful, and the layout refined.
The carport at the entrance and the upstairs terrace still carry the quiet charm of 1980s architecture—calm, timeless, and quietly elegant.

Beipu is a mountain town best experienced on foot.
Walk past the plaza in front of Citian Temple, stroll slowly down Beipu Street, then turn into Puwei Street—soon, you’ll arrive at Beipu Elementary School.
Beside the school, a few former teachers’ dormitories from the 1920s quietly stand still in time, while across the street rests a historic Western-style building.
Beipu|Orinn

Today, Orinn Beipu breathes new life into this historic Western-style house, transforming it into a warm haven for travelers.
Step inside — sunlight gently pours through the tall windows, bathing the space in a soft and peaceful glow.
In the early morning, the sound of roosters echoes from afar and light footsteps dance through the alleyways.
In the afternoon, settle in with a book and a warm cup of tea, quietly enjoying the mountain’s calm.
And at night, the scent of flowers drifts in on the breeze — you take a deep breath, and your entire body relaxes

Many people who grew up in Beipu during the 1970s and 80s still remember the figure of Teacher Jiang.
Mr. Jiang, who now lives at the end of Chengmen Street, recalls how the teacher would stand at the edge of the schoolyard, guiding students to sweep fallen leaves with a bamboo stick and whistle.
Miss Wu, who now runs a lei cha tea shop on Nanxing Street, fondly remembers childhood strolls past the row of teachers’ dormitories. On breezy nights, a soft floral scent would always drift from the wall outside Teacher Jiang’s home — a fragrance she still remembers as the gentlest part of her childhood.
